A Composition for Love: An Ode to Lily's Subway
Deep within a dark tunnel they stray, 
 Charging full force into the abyss
 She stares into her mirror 
 Such a simple action but no one knows 
 What's in return
 
 Reflections running wild, both internal and ex
 As the red cream glides over the soft tissue
 Warmth is felt throughout her soul
 She is making herself presentable
 Ready for a world no one knows
 
 So many people travel day by day 
 All as one but everyone is left a stray 
 People always seem to be on a search 
 Left to question exactly what will free it 
 Free the thought of finding that something
 
 For now she will sit
 Each day in a ritual 
 Left alone to apply what she desires 
 The little time to reflect on what she has 
 The time she takes to even her odds, as they admire
