Revenge

Revenge seems sweet,
It’s fine to get back at what is wrong.
But really, it’s not all that neat.
It doesn’t make you more strong.
It’s the easy way out called a cheat.

For it takes so much more,
To forgive your enemies.
That type of strength comes from the core.
Forgiveness is better than all the remedies,
While revenge is an ugly sore.

An eye for an eye,
And the whole world goes blind.
Anyone can go and tell a hurtful lie,
But someone who forgives is one of a kind.
