Numbers
Each month we make hundreds of mistakes,
That all lead to the one right move.
Each time we get our hearts broken,
We are reminded of what could have been.
Hundreds of regrets,
Thousands of memories,
Millions of thoughts,
Dancing in our heads.
So many mistakes,
How many does it take,
To get to the one place where we truly belong?
So many times we've trusted
So many times we've loved
Only to lose what's nearest and dearest.
But how much pain will we go through,
How many tears will we shed,
What number of bad things will happen,
Till we find happiness?
How much actually happens for a reason,
How many times do we apologize without meaning it
How many times will we actually forgive and lose?
Despite how many times we do these,
We keep pushing on,
Because these numbers are what makes us.
