As I Leave
I could count how many people care
On one tiny little hand
I know how much i mean to them
I’m doing what i can
To live and to grow
In the land of the free
I know what my rights are
And they’re being taken from me
In this house with this man
Who says hes in love
But i know what he means
And Ive had enough
With being upset and being mad
I want him to see
That I’m done with being quite
And just how hes been treating me
By hurting me with words and force
To try to get me to stay
I’m done with this, I’m done with him
Like every other day
When i turn my back
And feel it coming
I stand and take it
Instead of running
Away in fear
But I’m not afraid anymore
I’m saying goodbye
As i walk out the door
