"Death ends a life, not a relationship"- Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Album

I count the days, the hours, the minutes, the seconds
I’m waiting for something to begin.
My heart takes a pounding; a beating
Drumming like the raindrops
Falling all around my head.
All I can do in the dim that surrounds me
Is think of a life we just can’t seem to get.
Something worth giving; something worth living
Give meaning to a feeling
That steals the hours, the minutes, the seconds
That I’m waiting for something to begin.
Another day, another dream, another moment spent wishing
Wishing it was me that was the secret to your smile.
A smile that leaves me reeling
Keeps me longing for the feeling
Lets me know why I waited so long
To hear you say it’s just so right.
That it’s something worth giving
Something more than worth our living
That steals the days, the hours, the minutes
Makes the seconds seem forever
And no longer have to wait for it to begin.
I see you coming from a distance
To a life that is our own to give and get.
I feel your warmth and hear your laughter
A muse for a soul as lost as mine.
Inspiration, motivation, captivation
A dreamer’s dreams come true.
