Favorite Quote:
You know you're in love when you don't want to sleep because reality is suddenly better than your dreams.

As I think of your lips,
the ones sweet and moist,
The smooth touch of your skin,
the soft tone of your voice.
Your body that moulds into mine as we kiss,
To have you forever,
is my only wish,
I sing to you gently on long summer nights,
And when your eyes close, I hold onto you tight.
My head gets so heavy,
my eyes shutter closed,
I smile at the ceiling and begin to doze,
Knowing full well that sweet dreams await
And hoping someday, you’ll be my soul mate.

I love it, in this poem; the use of obvious rhyming gives a double meaning to the content. The poems speaks of an innocent love, and it is this innocence that is enhanced by the use of “innocent” rhyming. It is very refreshing to read a positive poem from our youth, a celebration of young love, uncomplicated, and visual. Well done, for it’s only when we turn our backs on despair and use flashlight to illuminate the goodness in life can we have hope.
