The Boy I Will Never Know
When the night is dark and the moon is bright
I see the outline of one young boy
or am I just imagining his sight
his footsteps are louder and he grows closer
As he appears my senses grow crisper
The face of a young boy appears tears in his eyes
the need to comfort him brings me a step closer
and him one step back
Our eyes meet for on e swift moment
he turns his head and walks away
to wherever he needs to go
and I whisper goodbye to the boy I will never know
