America is the wonders
held in this beautiful country,
calls to answer
and reasons to agree.

America is the heroes,
the ones who are brave
at ground zero
and the ones at the grave.

America is a gathering
of different people
who hear freedom ring
and Lady Liberty giggle.

America is the 50 states,
13 old, wise ones
and then fate
bought in the other ones

America is July 4
when we declared independence
when we started an uproar
and silenced the silence.

America is the proud residents
showing nationalism,
like the 44 presidents
and the national anthem.
That’s what America was
because now it had faded.
No one follows the laws
and everyone is filled with hatred.

Today, America is the tax
on our dollars
and all we do is relax,
ignorant about the future.

Today, America is discrimination,
and cold hearts of racism.
No one takes action
and avoids the problem.

Today, America is ashamed.
I still love our country
But we can’t love it when its blamed,
because beautiful became ugly.

Today, America is lazy
and there are no more opportunities.
The liberty and justice is empty
and the world is sleepy

Today, America is dusty.
We need to stand up
and make it the best it can be
before the mess piles up.
