Unknown Fate
The car is full of laughter. As I drive along That winding country road.
The smell of wine lingers, on my parents clothes.
The stars shine above us
Creating an eerie glow.
Rain falling gently down.
And the hum of the radio.
Not knowing what fate will bring
As we round the bend.
My life flashes before me.
Sending screams through the air.
Piercing the hearts of others
Even though they did not hear.
The world stops spinning, the rain subsides.
The screams turn to whispers
Then silence.
As I stare into their loving lifeless eyes
Asking myself the question...
Why did they have to die?
