Tearing us apart

I can see the blood in your eyes; bloodshot
Sweat. On your palms
Dripping d

n
Like rain

I can smell the whiskey on your breath
Cologne covering it up, causing me to cough

As your temper rises like boiling water
You start to lie, compulsively
It's not your fault, dad you do have a disease

I just wish it wasn’t tearing our family apart
I just wish you would realize all the pain you are causing

We still love you, never forget
But we want the real you-sober
