"The handsome rescuer is never wrong, even if he says the sky is purple and made of hedgehogs." - William Hernondale from the book "Clockwork Angel"

It eats away at your soul
Loss
It leaves a fresh wound every day
Loss
Reminds you thier still gone
Loss
Makes the pain always return
Loss
Makes things that happened years ago, feel like it happened yesterday
Loss
Makes you cry, but you can't cry enough
Loss
Makes the walls you built crumble down
Loss
Makes you feel alone inside, hollow
But with Loss come Gain.
Know that in loss I will find you,
I'll give you all my hugs.

And hold your hand
Through the sadness, the grief, and the love.

The author's comments:
I began to write this poem out of pain and sadness and love for my best friend who just lost half of her family in a train wreck. My heart goes to her in this poem.
