Grandiose
When I look into the mirror,
Your face is not all that I see anymore
Rather than that I see a glittering, open door
You want to go in, but you’re waiting
And you still don’t know what for
Every day you see it close a little bit more
You watch it move beautifully,
Like the tide to the shore
You dream of going inside to explore
But instead you deceive your destiny
For the mundane and the bore
I observe you do all these things
But I am doubtlessly and unquestionably sure
That one day you’ll stop waiting and reach into the core
Once you do, you’ll find that you simply can’t ignore
Who you are, who you’re going to be, and who you were before
In this place, you’ll find all you need to restore
You’ll fly so high, you’ll know what it means to really soar
On this day, you’ll remember me and laugh all the more
For I am the one who revealed to you that glittering open door
