From a Lazy, But Loving Valentine
Who cares about Valentine’s Day?
Or shall I say,
The National Male Panic Parade.
It is nothing more than American capitalism,
Where 1-800-Flowers and See’s Candies are the real winners.
Because no flower,
No chocolate,
No card,
No cupid,
Can quantify my love for you.
So I dare you to abandon this silly convention,
Because we all know,
Your roses are really dyed red
And violets dyed blue
Sugar is sweet
But not as sweet as you.
For if I truly love you,
A simple gesture will do.
Because I don’t need Valentine’s Day,
To say “I Love You.”
