I want to go dancing in red glitter heels.
I want to fall, twirling, in an elegant gown
Craft out of sparkling stardust and electric threads
Brought straight from Paris or Hong Kong or Rome.
I want you to hold me, I want you to wink
And spin me, just spin me - then dip and a catch
Before we're both ashes to ashes again
And the world is all rum and diamonds.

I think that I loved him not unlike a siren,
Swan-dived off a plank, disregarding the cold.
But in your case, it was more like mosaic tiles,
Fit together over music and Boston lights.

I want to go dancing in red glitter heels.
I could be Dorothy, you could be my balloon
And we'd all go to Kansas, we'd all make it home.
Spiral, spiral - a dip and a catch,
Before it's ashes to ashes and dust to dust,
And my carriage is just another pumpkin.

So please take me dancing in red glitter heels,
And we can go home after midnight.
Please buy me my dress, all electric with stardust
And we'll knock 'em all dead, both you and I,
We'll knock the world dead with a kiss on the cheek,
And the rest is all rum and diamonds.
