Falling

Falling, in a pit of darkness
Endless, not a single sound
My mind is at peace
no pain, just falling
The world is gone
and all I feel is falling
I feel the wind in my hair
and there is no reason to be scared
Then I feel a pain rise up through my body
The ground comes up instantly
I see people I know all around me
Amazed that I am still alive
My fall is over
The darkness is gone
I see the light
I have survived my fall
