inside looking out
since the stars have blessed the night with their elegant dancing.
since the sun has kissed the morning intruding the peace of night.
since the trees have breathed from the lush forest, to the grey slow city.
since the insects have roamed like monsters stalking grass, and children.
you've hidden all the pain from the dull day.
looking out the window to see who will notice.
ticking life away for the moment
they say everything gets better
im just waiting for the answer.
drop it all, pick it up, force it down, and spit it out.
the s*** that came with yesterday.
bloodshot eyes and a new day has dawned.
walk with the river to where we belong.
