Oh the webs we weave when we do deceive
Are tricky and traitorous. They make me believe
In all of your lies, until finally, at last,
You find yourself stuck in the stickiness you’ve created.
There’s no changing it; there’s no going back.
If you manage to disentangle yourself from the web you wove around you,
The bundles of lies still cling to you.
The letters of guilt that you wrote to yourself.
There’s no one to blame, just you, solely you.
You’ve created your own prison (of guilt).
You’ve created your own hell.
So, now the smallest spider will reap what she sows.

The lies you told to save a friendship.
The lies you told to destroy it.
The lies you told to save a marriage.
The lies you told that ruined it.

You were cheating with her man.
He was cheating with his best friend’s girl.
You got caught, so you lied some more.
You didn’t think it would all catch up.

You thought you were safe, home-free,
But then the webs unraveled, and your disgrace,
Your idiocy, was revealed to all of the people
Who loved you until you fell.

Oh the webs we weave when we do deceive
Are tricky and traitorous. They make me believe
In all of your lies, until finally, at last,
You find yourself stuck in the stickiness you’ve created.
There’s no changing it; there’s no going back.

You’ve created your own prison (of guilt).
You’ve created your own hell.
So, now the smallest spider will reap what she sows.

Anguish.
Fear.
Betrayal.

The spider will reap what she sows.
