As a poet looking for inspiration
I will make but a single proclamation
Coffee is unique and exquisite
But it’s not a filthy drug is it?
It rejuvenates your energy
So you may continue energetically
To go through your day
As long as you may
As if enhanced, genetically
And have very often an epiphany


I make this claim, not out of spite
But in hopes that you the reader
May come to see the light
Now go get a liter
Of coffee my friend
Not just any kind mind you
But of a quality you can’t comprehend
Whether on the grounds you chew
Or by needle inject
Any way you try it, you will be correct
