Forever Stay

He passes by.
I watch him stop.
He comes so near.
I hear his heart
He whispers soft.
Into my ear.
“I want to meet you,
You know where my dear.”

I know the place.
He talks about.
I wait no more.
My heart shouts.
I run and run.
Take a deep breath.
I grab a hold.
And jump the fence.

I tumble on.
The rocky path.
My dress all wet.
And full of grass.
Thorns scratch my feet.
There is so much pain.
But it all stops.
When I see his face.

Behind a tree.
He awaits for me.
Just like he promised.
And said he would be.
He looks at me.
Says “I love you”
My hearts stops.
And say “Love you too”

The journey was worth it.
The destination was great.
When he took me by the arm.
To my special place.
We kissed and hugged.
And all was great.
His lips to my ear.
Said “In my heart,
you shall forever stay...”
