Now

The part of childhood that you say to yourself “I just want to grow up,” stops very short then you grow up and you want time to tick backwards like what happens in your dreams, drifting off into the creativity of those dreams. Then all the memories rush thru your head, you smile, smile when everyone is frowning. Then reality hits and you’re at your first job waiting wondering about where you’re going to go when you’re old and crabby because your drenchers won’t fit. Then you realize you’re in the now.
