Love Forgotten
Across the oceans
Of love and lost
I have known solace, where the sand makes
Your feet all mushy, and I walk on the hot part
And breathe in self-love instead of HIM
Overcoming the human condition
to-want-what-we-cannot-have
Is my eyelids closed, seashells
That speak whispers of HIM- forgotten
Within the love-sickles
swirling in my heart
Freezing a love for HIM- the
cavity in my chest becomes cold
And I walk with snowboots on
Keeping warm my drive to move on
And as I lay my head down
On a pillow that soaked many tears over
YOU- I live with their lessons
Comforting me as strength tangles into my curly hair
