Why don’t we dance in the rain?
When the sun dries us out.
Why don’t we travel our minds?
When our world needs its help.
Why don’t we stop our machines
When they’re destroying our homes.
Why do we sit back and wait
When our world is falling apart.
Why is it that flowers
No longer have the sweetest smell.
Why is it that birds
No longer make the nicest sound.
Why is it that people
Suddenly all look the same.
How can love invade a heart
When everyone gives theirs away.
