Ignorance.

Frustration is palpable
Unsurprisingly;
The pain bites
Expectedly.

Other depressed souls
Sing for remuneration
As I wallow,
Pine successfully.

Incompletion stares
Even as I ignore it determinedly.
If only that determination
Could be rerouted.

Unloving, glacial,
Acerbic cardiac conditions
Manipulate them so easily;
Or perhaps they’re overly gullible.

Age is delusional
It could have been humorous
Had it not been so
Bigotedly authoritarian.

I scream, I run,
I act, I deny,
I cry, I defy
While they remain blind.
