The Try

All I had to lose was everything, so by nature I had to try.
If it scared me,
if it hurt me,
I had to keep trying.
I had to push up, out, over the top,
not above others,
but of the drag and magnetism of the bottom.
The bottom, the world so close
of blood
and pills
and sadness
and weight
