Alone

Single parent of two,
She sets the table for one,
While kids are at their dads
Every other weekend,
I shall be eating alone,
Been divorced for sixteen years,
Still not found someone new,
Just my kids and I,
Sometimes she will go out with her friend,
But not every weekend the kids are gone,
Or go to see her parents,
She turns on the radio,
To make the quiet go away,
Moon shining bright,
She realizes it’s only 6:00pm,
She puts her bowl of cereal,
On the table,
This is her supper,
It’s easy, no mess to clean up,
Easy for single mom of two, eating alone, while kids are at their dads.

I was inspired by my mom when i wrote this because she is a single mother of two. and has done a good job supporting her kids alone. she really knows how to manage her life with 2 kids while supporting them. My dad did not come into my brothers and i life till i was 13. now 5 years later we are coming to adjustment of both parents in our lifes.
