In the closet of hunger the children hate,
The kids go to school hungry and scared,
They don’t know when they are going to get their next meal,
Their mom as no job and their day has one job that doesn’t pay well,
They get to school and they get breakfast and lunch,
The bell rings at the end of the day,
The teachers wonder when the kids are going to get their next meal,
Some kids only get feed in school because their parents can’t afford much food,
When the kids get home they look through the cabinets for food,
They are hungry at night but they didn’t get much to eat for supper,
They go to bed hungry and wondering when they will get their next meal.
