Unintentional Monster

I guess its something we never meant to make;
A monster I assume,
A creature that would never do,
At thing that would take and take,
A thing with green eyes,
Of course it told all sorts of lies,
An ugly troll.
It could never go with the flow,
It looks in the mirror,
And is frightened by the reflection,
And then we realize the monster we never meant to make,
Was us all along.
