I Walked In, Now Watch Me Walk Out
You promised me the world
In silver cloud linings and tiny violet bubbles
 You called me beautiful
 Your very own fallen angel

You watched me as walked into your life
Like a dream, I broke through your spellbound haze
And pulled you through to the other side of sanity
Like you were special to me...

 You were

I was trapped beneath the notion
 That something
 One thing
 Could last for absolutely ever

I cast my magic words around you
And spun you in a coccoon of all you wanted to hear
And all I wanted to say

You traced the outline of my footsteps with your eyes
 Melted my cold plastic mouth
 But you were a fad
You just had to be reminded
Of the other fish out in the sea

You thought.yourself too good for me
And moved to the next girl
 A lion stalking his prey
 But she was predator
 And you were caught

 You watched me walk in
With childlike wonder and priceless awe

Now keep close eye on the sashay of my hip
As this girl walks out for good...
