Shielded and Rejected
I took a walk on day
And I lost my way and all alone
I wonder aimlessly in the dark
Going door to door
Asking if they have an extra bed to rest my head
But they look at me with no pity in there eyes
As they say we don't have a place for me to stay
so I walked to the nearest park bench
Though it is covered with snow
I have no other place to go
In the back of my mind
I hope someone will come looking for me
And give me a place to stay
so I may live to see another day
