Real estate

I never quite understood
why the dead get placed
in such good real estate.

They lay under beautiful
shady trees. and rot
beneath expansive fields of green
that seem to come alive in the springtime
un like them.

Perhaps
we like to pretend they can see it
That they can feel the wind on their
pale, drained face
or smell the roses.
