My Best Friend
When everybody’s turned their backs,
My best friend’s commitment never cracks.
Even when I’m wrong she takes my side,
With her I have nothing to hide.
Our inside jokes- too many to name,
We can never be divided- our lives wouldn’t be the same.
Whether we’re camping in her backyard or somewhere off the GPS,
She’s always there to hear me out when boys and drama become a mess.
Peanut butter drizzled brownies or green cupcakes galore,
The tastes of our creations left everyone afraid of what else we had in store.
So here’s to our sixth year together and memories that will never die.
This goes out to many more years like the ones before.
I never want to say goodbye.
