You puff up your wings
trying to intimidate
to fake
how small
and weak
you
really are.
In truth
you are as delicate
as a butterfly
wings thin as paper
and just as fragile.
But you hide it
very well
so everyone who
would hurt you
believes it.

The author's comments:
In case you are confused about the title, the Io moth is the moth with big dots on it's wings that look like eyes to scare away predators.
