A single moment

A picture is worth a thousand words,
but that moment can be worth a lifetime.
A moment which leaves you speechless,
blind, deaf, mute, numb.
A moment in which you only know
and nothing exists.
The moment which lasts forever.

It leaves a memory
Imprinted in all those who experience it.
The mark of true understanding,
A connection between two people,
Bound to each other for eternity.

Many things try to stop it.
Differences in age, race, class, distance.
The world looks on in disgust
but the believers,
true believers,
Watch with smiles.

For they know the truth.
Once bound, the two can transcend time,
leave this world, together
to meet again in some new form.
Closer, stronger, happier, and again.
Until their souls are one.

I wrote this during school today while thinking of my girlfriend, and want to know what people think of it. (mostly if it's good, and if she'll like it)
