Live life as if you'll die tomorrow and dream as if you'll live forever

I’ve experienced nervousness,
Many times,
But this,
This is not nervousness.
This is something more.
When I’m nervous I go blank,
I have nothing to say,
But right now I’m not blank,
I am full,
Colorful,
Bright,
And I have a million things I want to say.
However,
My heart is beating so fast,
Shallow breathing,
And I’ve got to hand it to you,
You have quite an effect on me.
So much so, that I can’t speak any of my thoughts,
Which are spiraling through my mind.
This is a racing heart.
This is a feeling so sweet and strong, it scares me.
This is love.

The author's comments:
I must admit that the majority of my poems are little stories that I've imagined. They are possible. They are what I imagine, maybe not as a hope, but as a thought. Some are bitter. Some are sweet. And some are both. Few are completely my story, but they all have a piece of my story in them. My story is what I write about, but it's where I start; it's my inspiration.
