Fallen from Joy and Into the Darkness
Sulk in sorrow, sink in shame
Never to see that joy again.
That joy which makes the brightest days
And never those that make it rain.
The rain of tears and pain I see,
It’s all I see, no joy for me.
I’m the one who caused this pain
And caused me to see this darkening rain.
No joyous day is allowed for me
Because I bring no joy to thee.
Thee who is my love and is my light,
Which shines so bright but I made it night.
