The diet of a dog is unmatched by any other
Its hunger is like a Midwest tornado
Devouring everything that it comes across
Flesh, garbage, and even vomit
All pass into its drooling mouth, past razor sharp K-9s
Its hunger continues
Day by day, hour by hour
It eats
And its hunger continues

The author's comments:
This piece is part of a collection I wrote. Each poem was about an animal and a trait that animal has that can be compared to something we as humans have. The point was to show how we are not as evolved as we as a race think, and in fact, we are quite animalistic.
