When;

Thought I could hide from it; I thought wrong,
Encased in a blanket for very long.
Between the two of them, my parents said
As pounding words rattled through my head
Silence, unbroken, forming a shroud
Exhausting my will to speak aloud.
A family divided, the concept new;
What it means today, I still have no clue
