Reader
I see without seeing,
 I hear without hearing,
And yet I know your innermost thoughts.
 I know what you want
And I know what you know,
 I know what you hate
And I know who you love.
I see the story you are weaving,
I hear the song you are singing,
And I know both better than you.
I’d tell you what will happen
 If I could.
 I’d send you a friend
 If I could.
But that is not my place.
 I am just a witness,
 A member of the audience,
 A reader of the book.
