The crushing weight of the water pulling you under, surfacing at the top and winning the battle is only half the fight. You have to ready to take the risk and try again ~ Raina Karia

I’m caught in a vortex of zen
Not of calmness but almost nothingness
And I can barley feel the beat in my body
As it is not asleep
Not awake
Not conscience

I feel myself slipping but I let it slip
Not because of want
And not because of need
As I don’t need to think… ever again
Not thinking
Just drifting

It’s not a dream and certainly not reality
Not the world most would imagine
And it is indescribable
As words cannot engender it
Not a sight, nor a sound
But an is

I can breathe here, I can let loose and stay tight
Not let loose and not stay tight
And not often I can fly
As if the energy around me created a halo
Not of light, not of goodness
Only of pure truth and surrealism

My little place all my own
Two feet from heaven but just one step from Earth
Two feet from heaven I stand united
With … nothing but myself

Not bliss – it’s something more and less
But all the same, so its end I never grieve
Two feet from heaven – I’ll never leave

Ever listened to music while slowly drifting off to sleep? Keep this in the back, very far corner of your mind the next time you hear those notes of melody as you're about to drift off.
