When I Had No Regrets

As a young girl
I would smile,
I'd love everyone and everything,
Unconditional passion,
Treating everyone equal,
No pain,
No regret yet,
Just happiness,
How I wish I could rewind time,
The mistakes I've made,
I feel them on my soul,
It weighs me down,
If I have to carry this weight forever,
I believe I will begin to cry,
Why do I feel like I wont' live much longer?
The cold snow and wind freeze my tears in place,
Just like my existence,
Why do I feel such regret?
