If Only I could Go Back
Basketball court to my left,
Football field to my right,
Looking straight at a huge play structure,
The huge upper elementary school looming over me,
Kids voices all around,
Just drifting through the madness,
Stuck in the middle,
Petrified as if there is no where to go,
Balancing the little time I have,
Trying to do everything at once,
The Lunch bell rings,
The groups of kids swap places,
Now I watch everything I just felt,
If only I knew how little time I had left.
If only I could go back.
