i wish that i could be
more like you
you're so wise
so pretty
there's nothing
you're afraid to do
i'm short
below average
in every aspect

you are love
you are my might
i am the dark
you are the light
but you don't know
and never will
i see you everyday
but somehow still
i cannot tell you
i am afraid
to love outwardly
or to be unloved.
love is a game for fools
and i don't understand the rules

have any of you loved someone but just can't bring yourself to tell them? that's why i wrote this poem, because i feel so alone.
