Off to Bed

The source of light suddenly turns dark.
Heavy footsteps find their mark.
Soft comfort surrounds a head,
Who waits for the quiet dreams ahead.
A constant breeze keeps away sound.
Peace sets in all around.
Prayers are sent to the One up high,
And not a light is found nearby.
Sleep has now found a way inside.
Turning over from side to side.
Drifting in a tranquil zone.
Entering in a world alone.

The author's comments:
When I go to bed, there has to be no lights, a fan to drown out all other noise, and blankets surrounding me caterpillar style. That's how I fall asleep, so I included those things in my poem.
