The Meadow
Buds Blooming
In the afternoon sun
The birds harmonizing
High in the trees
Life
Has Returned
To The Meadow
The sun burns
In the high blue skies
The grass a sickly yellow
Very little rain
Yet the kids
Jump and shriek
Through The Meadow
Leaves below my feet
Crunch, Crunch, Crunch
Laughter echoes
Through the naked trees
Of The Meadow
A man stands
Motionless
A hat on his head
A dagger-like nose
Grinning ear to ear
If that’s possible
For a Snowman
In The Meadow
