Buds Blooming
In the afternoon sun
The birds harmonizing
High in the trees
Life
Has Returned
To The Meadow
The sun burns
In the high blue skies
The grass a sickly yellow
Very little rain
Yet the kids
Jump and shriek
Through The Meadow
Leaves below my feet
Crunch, Crunch, Crunch
Laughter echoes
Through the naked trees
Of The Meadow
A man stands
Motionless
A hat on his head
A dagger-like nose
Grinning ear to ear
If that’s possible
For a Snowman
