The Hardest Thing

someone once told me that
losing someone to death is the worst
pain in the world but
i believe there's only one pain worse:
the hurt in the wake of the destruction of a
friendship.

death is easier; because they're gone and
i have no choice but to go on alone but
losing someone living is the
hardest thing to do because
they're still here on this earth and
i can feel you all around me;
just not a part of my life
anymore.
