Patchwork of the Heart
Patchwork of the heart,
made of many different parts,
unique to each person,
and held together by the stitches of love
Hope,
strong and everlasting,
not knowing if things will go your way,
but having the strength to believe anyway
Dreams,
a tug deep inside you,
to reach for the stars,
and never fall short
Courage,
the bravery to be who you really are,
even if it means standing above the crowd,
and being different
Compassion,
the power to
speak for those who are quiet,
and stand for those who are weak
Patchwork of the heart,
made of many different parts,
unique to each person,
and held together by the stitches of love
Some hearts have been abused,
beaten and bruised,
ripped and torn,
until there is little left of them
But that doesn’t mean,
that all hope is lost.
With the help of a little love,
all hearts can be restitched
