Every Girl
Completely lost, stuck in a deep space without stars. Searching for the light but tied down to a ten pound weight. Trying to escape this darkness I created, yet too comfortable to take that leap. Laying at night and wondering why I’m not touched by love. Am I not lovable? Do I not stand out? As little girls we sit and fantasize about our wedding day, our prince charming, the one we will spend the rest of our lives with. We soon learn that it doesn’t happen like the fairy tales. There are barriers we have to overcome and mountains we have to climb to receive that happy ending. But in the end, we get to live that fairy tale that is perfect for us.
