I come from Chelsea, London
And Giants, New York
From the cries of the weak
To Sunday church every week.

I come from the field house locker room
Where stars of their own kind fill the room
From two laps two minutes
And open hearts every minute.

I come from F.I.F.A 12
And staying up past twelve
From spending nights in the studio tryn’to beat hova
While still keeping my own

I am from H & M swag jackets
And superfly cleats
I am from imitating the best
To finishing the test

I am from the pinnacle of success
To falling straight flat
From the natural greats of Ghana
To the limelight’s of the U.S
A place where we live for today
And plan for tomorrow
There to finish my undisclosed career .

Congratulations for having your first poem accepted online! My favorite lines deal with your two homes: "From the natural greats of Ghana/To the lime-lights of the U.S." Your most clever phrase, in my opinion: "There to finish my undisclosed career." Keep on writing! I look forward to reading more!
