When there is no mother to hug;
No father to trust
The forsaken world
Burns dark shadows of loneliness
into the deepest crevices of your heart

I am a desperate maiden
too shy to make contact,
as i look at every one,
and wonder if it is him

I am in desperate searching
for one man, that i will want most
the one who brings the gift of relief
the one who allows me to escape
the hurtful pain, and yearning of my parents

there will be one and only one,
to take me away
from the bickering war
of my own parents
and ill wait
for as long as it takes
and only then
will the pain stop
