We Fall Together
Sad day,
Words cannot describe
The towers you see standing
Are no longer alive.
This date in history
We will never forget
For events on our soil
We will never submit.
I was sitting in class
Six years old
Confused stares
They seemed so cold.
Families cry
People mourn
Lives were taken
Even those just born.
I can still recall
On the ride home
My mother silent
Until the ring of her phone.
These towers remind
those who care
We will never forget
Our country in despair.
